Drink of the Week: Neudorf 2014 Sauvignon Blanc

The joy of drinking a well-made white wine can last well beyond the warmer months. Take, for example, the 2014 Neudorf Sauvignon Blanc. One of the oldest names in New Zealand wine, Neudorf started in 1978 in the foothills of the Tasman Bay on the South Island. This wine is luminous, with notes of orange peel, key lime and passion fruit. Tropical fruit is a trademark of Sauvignon Blanc, but this wine boasts an extra brightness backed by a full body (due in part to a partial barrel ferment). As grilled meals segue into roasts, you’ll want to allow this wine to tag along.
