Drink of the Week: Durant 2019 Brut

As the thirst for high-quality bubbly rages on, I’ll admit. I’m the outlier among the beverage enthusiasts of this category, averse to carbonation of any drinkable sorts. It’s unlikely that you’ll find me cracking open a hard seltzer or ordering a Lambrusco. What I will make an exception for, however, is a well-made Brut. I can appreciate those tight bubbles that ever so gently cross my tongue, combined with a light yet creamy body. Durant’s 2019 Brut encapsulates all the things I love about a great Brut, a dry and delicate wine that imparts gentle layers of minerality and fruit and a lingering finish.
