With rich, dark fruit flavors, subtle oak tannins and hint of minerality on the finish, this wine is made with mostly Merlot fruit (with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc rounding out the blend) grown on the limestone- and clay-rich hillside of the tiny Canon-Fronsac sub-appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
