Classic Negroni Recipe

classic negroni recipe

The iconic equal-parts mix of gin, Campari and sweet vermouth.

One of the world’s most iconic cocktails, the classic Negroni recipe was purportedly invented at Caffè Casoni in Florence, Italy, when Count Camillo Negroni asked for a bolder retelling of the Americano, with gin replacing soda water. With equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth, the ruby-toned cocktail has inspired countless riffs, including the Negroni Sbagliato and the Kingston Negroni, as well as global initiatives like Negroni Week.

  • Tools:mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
