Drink of the Week: Minuty Prestige Blanc 2025

As Imbibe has celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, we’ve reflected on the last two decades of drinks culture. One of the inescapable trends from the wine world has been the roller coaster of rosé popularity—going from an innocuous option to a full-blown lifestyle. “Celebrity influence made the term ‘Provence-style’ prominent,” as Adolfo Hernandez, winemaker at Benovia Winery, told us. And long setting the standard for the dry, barely pink Provence-style rosé has been Minuty, a Chateau operating in Côtes de Provence for almost a century. So when I recently found myself at a dinner where the new Minuty vintages were being poured, I was surprised and intrigued to find that one of their newest stateside releases is in fact a white wine.

The Minuty Prestige Blanc is crafted from 100-percent Rolle (also known as Vermentino). The brisk white grape has long been cultivated throughout the Mediterranean and is often incorporated into rosé blends. Minuty has been working with Rolle since the 1960s, but the Minuty Prestige Blanc marks the grape’s first single-varietal release. Created by the family’s third generation 25 years ago, the wine only became available in the U.S. last year.

Made from a blend of estate and Provence-sourced Rolle grapes, the Minuty Prestige Blanc is made from free-run and pressed juice, and fermented at low temperatures to maintain freshness. The resulting wine is bright with sweet melon, citrus, and floral aromas, with an excellent acidic structure and balancing notes of slate and saline that speak to the region’s sea breeze. The wine is a no-brainer for the summertime dinner table at an easy-going 12.5 percent, and it pairs beautifully with salmon sashimi and stuffed squash blossoms. If a Provence-style rosé is your go-to warm weather bottle, snag the Minuty Prestige Blanc to see what the region has up its sleeve. $25.97, wine.com
