Watermelon and Mint Punchin’ Bag

watermelon cocktailChoose your own adventure with this rotating punch recipe from The Mockingbird in Nashville—it works well with almost any base spirit.

1½ oz. spirit of choice
2 oz. fresh watermelon juice
¾ oz. fresh lime juice
½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
3 mint leaves
Tools: shaker, muddler, strainer
Glass: plastic baggie
Garnish: lime wheels, mint

Add the mint and lime juice to a shaker. Lightly muddle. Add your spirit of choice, then the watermelon juice, simple syrup and ice. Shake to chill. Strain into a punch bag with crushed ice. Add lime wheels and mint. Secure the bag with a clear rubber band and add a straw.
