In the Walnut Manhattan, The Bellwether beverage director Ann-Marie Verdi combines bittersweet Punt e Mes and luxurious walnut liqueur for a bold new take on the classic whiskey cocktail.
2 oz. bourbon
½ oz. Punt e Mes vermouth
½ oz. walnut liqueur
2 drops Angostura bitters
Tools: barspoon, strainer
Garnish: two maraschino cherries
Stir all of the ingredients together in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over a few cubes of fresh ice. Garnish.
