This bourbon cocktail from Opal in Portland’s Dossier Hotel is sublimely smooth and warming through and through.
1½ oz. bourbon
½ oz. Aperol
¼ oz. Amaro Montenegro
2 dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Garnish: orange peel
Stir all of the ingredients together in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube. Garnish.
