Alex Day of Nitecap in NYC created this spritz recipe as a brighter, bubbly version of the White Negroni. St. Germain elderflower liqueur lends a floral edge, while Suze preserves the bitter character of the original. It’s one of 50 recipes featured in the excellent new book Spritz: Italy’s Most Iconic Aperitivo Cocktail by Talia Baiocchi and Leslie Pariseau.
2 oz. dry vermouth (Dolin)
¾ oz. Suze
½ oz. St. Germain
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
