Never Coffee Lab’s Holy Grail

Seasonal lattes are always on the menu at Never Coffee Lab, and this one with a turmeric-ginger syrup is especially warming.

1 shot espresso
1 oz. turmeric-ginger syrup
Steamed milk, to top
Tools: barspoon
Glass: coffee mug
Garnish: honey, black pepper

Combine the syrup with hot espresso and stir to combine. Top with steamed milk to the brim of the cup, then garnish.

Turmeric-Ginger Syrup
16 oz. water
½ cup dried turmeric
¼ cup dried ginger
6 Tbsp. orange flower water
1 cup sugar

Bring the water, turmeric and ginger to a boil and allow to boil for 3 minutes. Add orange flower water and sugar. Boil for 20 minutes or until desired consistency is reached. Drain off the solids. Store in the refrigerator when not in use. Makes enough syrup for 12 drinks.
