With the same mint and bourbon combo of a traditional mint julep, this patio-ready riff brings another Southern staple into the mix—sweet tea.
8 fresh mint leaves
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced
1 cup bourbon
3 cups cold sweetened tea
Glass: mason jar or rocks glass
Garnish: fresh mint sprigs, lemon and lime slices
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a 2-quart pitcher. Muddle until the mint is slightly bruised. Stir in the bourbon and tea. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired. Serves 6.
