Fernet and cola find a bittersweet balance in this cocktail from bartender Jason Eisner.
1 oz. Mexican Fernet (or substitute Fernet-Branca)
3 oz. Mexican Coke (or other cane-sweetened cola)
1 tsp. fresh lime juice
Garnish: lime wedge
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake gently with ice to chill (use care to keep the soda from foaming). Pour all the ingredients from the shaker into a glass, top with additional ice and garnish.
