Drink of the Week: Genevieve Thisdel Le P’tit Velo Beaujolais Blanc

For this week’s installment of our Imbibe 75 Drink of the Week series, we asked Haley Fortier, owner of Nathálie (our 2019 Wine Bar of the Year) to share a bottle rec. Nathálie’s menu features mostly small-batch natural wines made by female producers, and right now she’s especially enamored with the 2017 Genevieve Thisdel Le P’tit Velo Beaujolais Blanc. “Genevieve Thisdel is a Canadian woman, young and badass, who is now producing wines in Beaujolais! She used to be a photographer and landscaper prior to getting the wine bug—a total ‘up-and-coming’ person to watch,” Fortier says. “The wine is an 100% Chardonnay that is linear, lemony and slightly chalky at the same time. Really great price point for people’s wallet as well.” $19, spirited-wines.com
