For this whiskey cocktail, Mikey Kilbourne combines Aperol and Byrhh with bourbon or rye for a deliciously bittersweet sipper.
1½ oz. whiskey (bourbon or rye)
¼ oz. Aperol
½ oz. Byrrh
1 dash aromatic bitters
Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
Garnish: orange peel
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled, and strain into a rocks glass. Garnish.
