Modeled after the mango lassi, an alcohol-free drink made from yogurt and mango, the Banarasi Gold is a boozy version of the creamy treat. “We wanted to create a cocktail that had the same flavors while also keeping it bright and refreshing,” says Babu Ji bar manager Steven Brewer. “With the tropical flavor of mango, rum was a great option for our base spirit, and luckily, Bols introduced their new yogurt liqueur at the perfect time.”
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Fill a Collins glass with crushed ice, then strain the contents of the shaker into the glass. Garnish.
