Baklava Island Cocktail

Baklava—the classic dessert made with phyllo dough, honey, spices and nuts—inspired this flavorful cocktail from bar manager Johnny Livanos. “Spiced rum was an easy choice for the main spirit because of its richness and caramel notes,” says Livanos. “Walnut liqueur adds sweetness and a nutty taste.”

1½ oz. spiced rum
¾ oz. walnut liqueur
¼ oz. allspice dram
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. honey syrup (1:1)
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: tiki mug or Collins
Garnish: mint, cinnamon, orange wedge

Shake all the ingredients together with ice for about 10 seconds. Strain into a tiki mug and top with crushed ice. Garnish.
