Homemade spiced rum takes the driver’s seat in this wintry cocktail.
2 oz. homemade spiced rum (see our Nov/Dec 2012 issue for a recipe)
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. dark brown sugar simple syrup (1:1)
1/2 barspoon Maraschino liqueur
2 dashes cranberry bitters
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: coupe
Garnish: orange twist
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice cubes. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish.
