This delicious cocktail was created by Brant Boelts, a cocktail aficianado and husband of Imbibe staffer Jen Boelts, and it's named after their son, Brolin.
1 1/2 oz. rye whiskey (Brant uses Sazerac 6 Year)
1/2 oz. bonded applejack
1/4 oz. Cynar
1 oz. simple syrup
1 dash orange bitters
Cracked ice
Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: orange twist
Stir all ingredients in mixing glass, then strain into a chilled glass. Garnish by zesting orange over the glass, rubbing the glass’s rim with the resulting twist and setting on the side of cocktail.
