Several boldly flavored ingredients deliciously complement one another in this dynamic drink.
1 oz. rye (Thompson uses Rittenhouse) 1 oz. Ramazzotti amaro 1 oz. Aperol 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters Mist of absinthe Ice cubes Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer Glass: cocktail Garnish: orange twist
Mist the inside of a mixing glass with absinthe, or if you don’t have a mister, simply add one drop of absinthe to a mixing glass and move around the inside of the glass. Combine remaining ingredients in a shaker and stir with ice. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
