Official Rules for Imbibe’s Cover Cocktail Contest
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
The Contest entry period opens on February 17, 2011 and will close on March 10, 2011, at 11:59 p.m./EDT.
The contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Imbibe Magazine, with an address of 1028 SE Water Avenue, Suite 285, Portland, Oregon 97214.
The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States. This Contest is void wherever prohibited by federal, state or local law. You must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older as of February 17, 2011 to enter this Contest.
Employees, officers, and directors, agents of Imbibe and the immediate family members of each of the above are not eligible to participate.
All recipes must be original creations of those submitting them.
3. HOW TO ENTER
Visit the Contest entry page at http://imbibemagazine.com/Imbibe-Cover-Cocktail-Contest. To submit your entry, e-mail email@example.com. Imbibe is not responsible for submissions that are not delivered/received via e-mail for any reason.
You must provide the details of your proposed cocktail including the cocktail recipe, ingredients, garnish, glass, instructions and the inspiration behind your cocktail. You must also provide your first and last name, company affiliation, mailing address, and e-mail address, and to confirm that you have read and agreed to these official rules.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
One (1) winner will be selected by a panel of judges by March 16, 2011. Winner will be notified via e-mail. If the winner does not respond to the winning notification email within two (2) days, the sponsor will be required to select another winner among qualifying entries. Cocktails will be judged on flavor, appearance, creativity, ease of preparation and how well they represent the spirit of Imbibe. Recipes should not include mentions of specific brands, unless unavoidable.
The First Prize winner will receive the following prize package: One (1) Founder’s Day Pass to the 2011 Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, taking place July 20-24, 2011, plus a four-night hotel stay at Hotel Le Marais in New Orleans, Louisiana (King Deluxe room). No transfer or substitution of a prize by a winner shall be allowed. The prize package may not be redeemed for cash. The prize package is nonchangeable once redeemed. The prize package cannot be used in conjunction or combined with any other competition or offer.
The Tales of the Cocktail Founder’s Day Pass includes:
• Tickets to 12 seminars
• 1 Ticket to the Diageo Cocktail Hour
• 1 Ticket to the USBG Margarita Competition OR the Bar Room Brawl
• 1 Ticket to Meet the Distillers
• 1 Invitation to the Native Spirits Brunch on Sunday, July 24
• 1 Official Poster
All expenses not specified, including, but not limited to airfare, incidental expenses, surcharges, services charges or facility charges, ground transportation, taxes, and meals, in-room charges, (e.g. mini-bar, movies), telephone calls, gratuities, incidentals, and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Accommodations are subject to availability. Please take note of the following restrictions and be advised that additional travel restrictions may apply to prize packages:
• Hotel stay is subject to availability and black out dates.
• Expenses not specified herein as being accounted for by Imbibe are the sole responsibility of the winner.
• Imbibe reserves the right to cancel this Contest or modify the prize or Official Rules with immediate effect at any time prior to the closing date of the Contest, by advertising that fact on this web page or by disseminating such information via e-mail.
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules. All federal, state and local laws apply. All federal, state or other tax liabilities arising from this Contest will be the sole responsibility of the prize winners.
- All entries and the information contained in such entries, will become the property of Imbibe and will not be acknowledged or returned.
- Acceptance of a prize will constitute permission for Imbibe to use the names, cities, states, likenesses, and voices of the winners for advertising and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
7. LIMIT OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMERS
A) ALL ENTRANTS AGREE THAT THE SPONSOR, THEIR AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AND AGENCIES AND/OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTEST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR CLAIMS, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, EXPENSES OR INJURIES OF ANY KIND RESULTING IN ANY WAY FROM CONTESTANT PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE DRAWING, THE USE OF THE PRIZE, ANY DELAYED, LOST, MISDIRECTED, OR DAMAGED ENTRIES, OR ANY COMPUTER, ONLINE SERVICE, COMMUNICATIONS OR OTHER TECHNICAL MALFUNCTIONS THAT MAY OCCUR.
B) ALL CONTESTANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE SPONSOR, THEIR AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AND AGENCIES AND/OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTEST MAKE NO WARRANTY OF ANY NATURE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED IN RESPECT OF THE PRIZES, WHETHER IN RESPECT OF FITNESS FOR PURPOSE, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, DESCRIPTION OR NATURE OF THE PRIZE OR OTHERWISE. ALL CONTESTANTS, BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE ABOVE RULES.
