2016 Charleston Wine and Food

Charleston Wine + Food has released the lineup for its 11th annual festival set for March 2-6, 2016. With 100+ events featuring more than 240 chefs, artisans and beverage pros, this year’s festivities look fantastic. As a Charleston Wine + Food media partner, we’re excited to sponsor the festival’s Iron Mixologist cocktail competition and series of spirit beverage workshops. This year’s workshops focus on small-batch spirits and include new topics, such as Meet Mezcal: Tequila’s Smokin’ Cousin and Heirloom Whiskey Revival. Here are the highlights:

THURSDAY, MARCH 3
Big Daddy Bourbon
A festival favorite, Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery’s famous Master Distiller guides attendees through a one-of-a-kind bourbon tasting.

Heirloom Whiskey Revival with High Wire Distilling Co.
Taste High Wire Distilling Co.’s small-batch whiskeys, including their single-source sorghum and Jimmy Red corn bourbon paired with snacks from James Beard award-winning chef Chris Shepherd.
